Mutz von der Pelztierfarm is also, besides Quanto en Canto von der Wienerau, a very important factor for the present bloodlines. Mutz was valued at his qualities of character and his usability. Mutz was a relative large and firm dog. He was praised because of his right proportions and pronounced withers from a steady back. Mutz had some restraints in the croup, the upper arm, the fastening of the elbows and descending his pale colour. The Mutz-line has always been very popular by the Dutch breeders. Some very famous dogs are coming over the Mutz-line: Kimon v. Dan Alhedy's Hoeve, Putz v. Arjakjo, Fando v. Südblick, Vako v.d. Herderskring and Yasco v. Farbenspiel. In the Jabora-line Kelsey v. Jabora is a representative of the Mutz-line.
Quanto von der Wienerau. Quanto descends directly from Rolf vom Osnabrückerland. Rolf was Auslese in 1950 and 1951. He had a beautiful pigmentation, heavy bone structure, a powerful head kop and a good temperament. But also with a short croup and the angulations of the hindquarters could be improved. Quanto stood in the Rolf 'type'. meaning that Quanto had some remarks about his croup and a weak middle fore foot. Quanto descended much type and type harmony, good angulations of the front quarters, good size en strength. The risk of descending a weak middle fore foot has never been confirmed. When line breeding on Quanto the breeder should give some account for producing long coats. On the other hand: line breeding on Quanto also meant: progeny with lot of type, expression and nobility.
Canto von der Wienerau. Canto was born on September 19, 1968. He was part of a small litter (1 male and two females). His sister Cira stayed anonymous. His other sister, Celly von der Wienerau, however became Auslese in 1971. Canto reached Vorzüglich 1 in 1971. Canto had a certain negative name concerning his working abilities. On his first breed survey he got Kkl II because his fight drive was present but not pronounced. On the repeated survey in 1971his fight drive was judged as pronounced and Canto´s breed survey class improved to Kkl I. Canto descended very well. His progeny was very special. Canto has been used two years for breeding. He died when he was four years old.
Palme vom Wildsteiger Land. Palme was the mother of the famous X-nest of Arminius. The father of this X-litter was Lasso di Val Sole. Palme was also mother of Uran vom Wilsteiger Land. Her father was Nick von der Wienerau. This sire is a representative of the Mutz-line. Palme is the leading female in the history of the German Shepherd Dog. Palme herself came from a very good litter, because her sister Perle was Auslese in 1981 and Siegerin in 1982.
Lasso di Val Sole. Lasso di Val Sole was the most important son of Quanto von der Wienerau. He was Auslese in 1976, 1977 and 1979. Lasso was a dog with a fabulous type, great colors and temper. Lasso passed a short upper arm and his breed partners had to have good hindquarters.
Uran vom Wildsteiger Land. Uran represents a leading branch from the line of Quanto von der Wienerau. Uran was Sieger in 1974 and 1975. His mother was Palme vom Wildsteiger Land and his father was Irk von Arminius. Irk was a very harmonious dog with four Auslese descendants. Uran was much better then these four Auslese dogs. Uran produced fabulous descendants, with a croup better then his own and with a great uniformity. You could always recognize a Uran descendant. He also passed on some shortcomings, such as: lack of muscular heads of males and a certain degree of pigment weakness.
Quando von Arminius. Quando belongs to the famous Q-litter of Arminius. He was Sieger in 1986 and 1987. Quando was a dog with the desired height, very muscular and with a slightly angled croup with the perfect length. Quando produced a very good progeny. One of them was the famous - in the Netherlands breed - Sire Odin von Tannenmeise.
Yambo vom Wildsteiger Land. Yambo also is a German Shepherd Dog from the line of Quanto von der Wienerau. He became VA 4 in 1988. Judge reports mention his very good angulation of the fore- and hindquarters. Yambo was a son of Uran vom Wildsteiger Land.
Fedor von Arminius. Fedor is a dog belonging to the bloodline of Canto von der Wienerau. His father was Lasso vom Wiederbrücker Land. Fedor was VA 7 in 1987. He has a great influence on the breed of the German Shepherd Dog. He had some very good and famous sons. One of them was: Mark vom Haus Beck VA.
Eiko vom Kirschental. Eiko was the most important son of Uran vom Wildsteiger Land. He became Sieger (VA 1) in 1988. Eiko´s mother owned the H.G.H.-certificate, which showed the good working ability in his blood. Eiko´s head could have been more powerful and the general muscularity could have some more volume. To compensate these shortcomings, breeder Martin Göbl (owner of the Arminius kennels) used Quina from his famous Q-litter. This combination produced a famous son: Yago vom Wildsteiger Land.
Odin von Tannenmeise. Odin´s mother was Häsel von Tannenmeise whose bloodline goes back to Mutz von der Pelztierfarm. Odin was Auslese in 1987 and 1988. Odin plays an important roll in the present bloodlines of the German Shepherd Dog. This roll is equal to the roll from Mutz, Canto and Quanto. The two most famous Odin-sons are Jack von Noricum (Sieger 1993) and Zamb von der Wienerau (Sieger 1992).
Yago vom Wildsteiger Land. Yago was a son of Eiko vom Kirschental and Quina von Arminius. Yago was VA in 1990 and 1991. He got remarks because his trotting seemed to be joyless. Anyway, he did not pass this property to his progeny. This was proofed by his son Ulk von Arlett (Sieger 1995) and his daughter Palie vom Trienzbachtal (Siegerin 1993). They showed the audience and judges some real great trotting...
Zamb von der Wienerau. Zamb is a very important son of Odin von Tannenmeise. Zamb became Sieger in 1992. Zamb is seen as a typical representative of the Quanto-line with some remarks on the angulations of the hindquarters. Zamb is one of those dogs that inherits the line of Odin and whose inheriting dominance was evident on the Bundes Sieger Zucht Shaus.
Jeck von Noricum. Jeck is one of the fantastic sons of Odin von Tannenmeise. Jeck became Sieger in 1993 and was well know for his condition and appearance, the fabulous forequarters and his long and slightly angled croup. There were some remarks about his front, the size and stability of the ears and his light color.
Hoss vom Hasenborn. Hoss (VA 3) was Austrian Sieger 1994. His father was Cello von der Römerau (VA) and his grandfather was Natz vom Hasenborn (VA). Hoss is also a representative of the Mutz-line. The influence of Hoss on the breed has never reached the same level of his grandfather Natz.
Ulk von Arlett. Ulk was son of Yago vom Wildsteiger Land (VA in 1990 and 1991). Ulk became Sieger in 1995. Ulk was father of many good dogs on the BSZS. A well known example of this is his son Rickor von Bad-Boll (Sieger 1998).
Natz vom Steigerhof. Natz (VA 4) comes over the line Fedor von Arminius (VA), Mark vom Haus Beck (VA) and Nutz vom Mönchberg. Natz is father of Ben vom Haus Hazelda and Chipsi van de Herdersfarm (VA).
Gaucho van Sheytan´s Home. Gaucho (V) is one of last living sons of Odin von Tannenmeise. Gaucho was discovered by accident when he was almost three years old. Thanks to a lot of training effort he got his titles IPO. I and II, SchH. II and III and VH. I and VH. III. Gaucho won three times the title of Dutch Champion.
Cello von der Römerau. Cello is an important link in the Mutz-line. Cello was son of Natz vom Hasenborn (VA) and Quana von Arminius. Although Cello was an excellent Sire himself, he was mostly known as father of the dog in the actual Mutz-line: Eros von der Luisenstrasse (VA)
